Up at sparrow-fart again and back on the road early o’clock, (actually about 8). It rained last night but we missed all that. Having fair bit of hassle with the battery on this bike as it doesn’t seem to hold a charge. Anyway, had to fill up after less than 40 miles and fortunately found another garage on a hill, but it’s a problem as we can’t stop at the viewpoints. So when we got into Port Campbell, we found a garage and he checked it out. It’s dead Jim – never to start another vehicle again. So after no time mourning, we’ve found out that the nearest place to get a replacement is Warrnambool! But it’s Saturday and the world closes at midday til Monday. Fortunately, the garage owner’s wife is in Warrnambool Christmas shopping, so he calls her and she’ll bring one back later J He even lends us an old Ford Fairline to use since it will be 5 or 6 hours before she’s back. So off in the Ford, find a cabin for the night, (lucky here as Alan, (garage guy), knows Sue, (cabin owner), and we’re in no probs. Used the car to visit various scenic stuff along the coast including The 12 Apostles which are certainly worth a look. See the site of the wreck of the Loch Ard – the historical light show we saw last night. Lots of boringly spectacular other stuff, but I’ve only included 3 photos from the million Caz took.
