Cool today - about 27 degrees. Went out to see the 'Whispering Wall', a dam that was stretching technology when it was built - being a 'thin wall' design. It's 37 metres tall and from either end you can whisper to someone at the other end. Apparently it's something to do with 'flat' acoustics. Anyway, it was pretty impressive. On the way out of the dam, couldn't resist a quick 'busman's holiday' and checked out the local water treatment plant. It was unmanned and surrounded by an electric fence. That ought to keep the pikies out! After that we visited the 'Herbig' tree, which is where a family of 5 lived, (back in the 1800's), for several years. Rather them than me! On the way back, we finally decided to get a picture of a sign that shouldn't be found anywhere else besides Australia. A Merry Christmas to one and all.
